So after my high school classmate's wedding we went to see Kalanggaman Island in Leyte. We saw a lot of amazing photos in Facebook and decided to join the bandwagon.

I have been to a lot of beach here in Cebu flocked and adored by foreigners. Yes, they are good. Kalanggaman does not offer what you normally see in famous locations here in Philippines. It does not have a hotel. It is a stretched out sand bar with one store in the middle of it. We had to bring our tent, food, charcoal, water and essentials. If you are a "comfortable traveler" and not adventurous. I do not recommend this place. It is the undeveloped feature of the location that makes the experience one of a kind.

What can you do here? Relax, swim, cook, bond and a lot of relaxing. The cost of going is on the low end. Five of us went and spent less than seven thousand pesos. It included food, tent, boat rent, entrance fees and cottage rent. We got more than what we paid for.

I don't mind going back to this place. It is simply breathtaking.
